Welcome to Highland & Co. Acres — a small, intentional Highland cattle program in Cowlitz County, Washington. We raise AHCA-registered Scottish Highlands with a focus on temperament, conformation, and quality genetics, supported by transparent testing and daily hands-on care.
Our fold is raised with respect, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the long-term preservation of this heritage breed.

Our genetic philosophy

At Highland & Co. Acres, our herd represents a thoughtful blend of older U.S. foundation lines, import genetics, and modern pedigrees found both inside and outside the show ring. We value depth over trend — focusing on cattle backed by reliable structure, temperament, and longstanding Highland type.

We intentionally build our program on diversity, bringing together lines that contribute consistency, heritage traits, maternal strength, and correct Highland expression.
